I’m Tom Cooper of Cooper Home Services, Inc. I will be the Inspector who comes out and does your Home Inspection. I decided years ago that direct contact by me, not an associate, would be the only way to provide a superior level of service for my clients. Caring about my client’s safety and welfare is everything to me. I have found that my clients trust is gained by good communication skills, knowledge and integrity. Choosing a home inspector to properly represent you is a critical step in the home buying or selling process and should not be taken lightly. Let me ask you a quick question. Why would you let someone who has a financial interest in the sale or purchase of your home, schedule an inspection for you? It doesn’t make much since does it?
Home Inspectors in North Carolina were not required to be licensed before 1996. What this means to you is that most Inspectors in NC have never been to a Training School for Home Inspectors, nor is any currently required. The simple truth is that a University Degree will not help a Home Inspector in this business. You have to be trained, experienced and naturally talented to properly and efficiently inspect a home. Attention to detail and the proper information is extremely important when my clients are depending on me at this critical time.
So, in saying all this, I am not going to try to impress you with my Industrial Technology degree from Western Carolina University or all my other non-related educational pursuits. I have been working in residential construction and related trades for Thirty Years. I have personally inspected over 1200 homes in the last four years since obtaining my North Carolina Home Inspectors License. I have never had a lawsuit, or the threat of one. There’s never been a complaint or dissatisfied customer. Why? Because whether it takes two or ten hours, I spend the time necessary to do a superior job.
To help you make a more informed decision about Cooper Home Services, I have included my licensing and association memberships.
